Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using the DealRoom service — the deal rooms, messaging, document-sharing and signing features available within the DealRoom mobile application (the "service"). It applies to everyone who uses the service once it launches, and sits alongside the app's own terms of use.

1. No unlawful use

You must not use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to facilitate, plan or conduct any transaction that is unlawful, fraudulent, or that infringes the rights of any third party.

2. Room permissions and identity

You must not attempt to circumvent the permission and access controls of a deal room, access a room or content you have not been invited to, or attempt to de-anonymise or identify other participants beyond the information they have chosen to share with you through the service.

3. Messaging and conduct

You must not use the messaging features to harass, threaten, abuse or intimidate other users, to send unsolicited commercial messages, or otherwise to misuse messaging in a way that is inconsistent with the purpose of a deal room.

4. Security

You must not introduce malware, viruses or other harmful code into the service, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, room, system or data, or attempt to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service without our express written permission.

5. Documents shared under permission

Documents shared within a deal room are shared for the purposes of that transaction only. You must not copy, download, forward, publish or otherwise use a document shared with you through the service beyond the purpose and permissions for which it was shared, or after your access to the relevant room has ended.

6. Reporting and moderation

If you believe another user has breached this policy, please report it to support@thedealroomapp.com. We may review reported conduct and content in order to investigate suspected breaches of this policy.

7. Consequences of breach

Breach of this policy may result in a warning, removal of content, suspension or termination of access to a room or account, and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement or other relevant authorities.
